This charger is designed to charge the battery while in the car. Our car chargers have smart technology using an I/C chip, which prevents overcharging. The I/C chip is a simple internal sensor to detect the battery's power capacity. Once a battery is fully charged, the charger automatically switches to stand-by mode.
