Data Cable Installation Instructions

Below is an example of how to install a USB Data Cable, for this instance we are using a Motorola V400 cell phone, but the principal is the same on almost any cell phone.

1. Power on your computer and make sure that the floppy drive and the USB port is enabled and working properly.

2. Insert the USB Mobile phone Data Cable disc into the floppy drive and click next to continue .

3. Windows will detect the driver and shows the New Tech USB- to �Serial Cable. Click next to continue installation.

4. When widows finished installing the software, plug the USB Mobile phone Data Cable into the USB port and run the �Add new hardware wizard� to assist you in setting up the new device. Click next to continue.

5. For windows 98, click Search for the best driver for your device. Click next to continue and let windows copy the needed files to your hard ware.

6. Open the system from Control Panel to check the serial port number assigned by windows. Then select a proper COM for the software that you are using.
